Excuses

As I was driving in to work this morning I was listening to the radio and they were talking about excuses on not going to the gym.

I thought about the word “excuses”

It’s not just about not going to the gym, it’s in everything we do, the things we really don’t want to do, we find an excuse. I know I do it more than I’d like to admit.

I challenge you to a No Excuse Day!

Things that are on our schedule, or things we need to take care of. Let’s do it!

Today is no excuse day.

Go to the gym, return the phone call, stop at the store, make dinner, reply to your emails, do the laundry, write that thank you note, finish your homework, pay the bills, whatever it is, don’t make an excuse today, Just Do It!

  1. Sounds like a great way to be productive! Maybe I will make a long list and then make tomorrow my no excuse day! No excuse, I have to get groceries. No excuse, I have to iron that shirt, shorten those pants, clean off the counter, etc. There is plenty to put on my list!

I’m going to have to pretend that I didn’t read this today. I will save the link and read it on another, less-needful-of-an-excuse day. It’s too good of an idea to ignore.

  3. Welp…I WAS going to not go to the gym since I ran with my girls on the run team…but then I saw this post. So, I’m packing up and headed there now! No excuses! 🙂

  4. I should have read your post earlier in the day! I had too many excuses for not getting some big piles of paperwork taken care of tonight! Although my excuse was that out-of-town friends were over for the evening. 🙂
